Finding peace when the world is a bad place

​

The world continues to be a trying, uncertain, anxiety-inducing, grief-filled place.  How do we go on when the world is filled with so much destruction, hatred, and disregard? Where do we fit into all of this? How can we connect and stay focused even when things get difficult? And what painful debris from the past is skewing our perspective? Meditation teaches us to sit with discomfort, dis-ease, and uncertainty. And while it's never a substitute for necessary action in righting injustice, it can show us the path forward.

It all starts with compassion; meditation is compassion practice. The relationship we have with ourselves truly sets the tone for all other relationships. While most of us would never think twice about helping a friend in need, we’re stingy with the kindness when it comes our own struggles. Learn how to move from reactivity and overwhelm to more ease, mindfulness and compassion. When the mind is trained to rest, the body follows. Let’s begin again together!
