ANIMAL REIKI

Offering Reiki to animals has truly deepened my practice. Animals are often more sensitive to Reiki than people and because they can’t verbally consent, a hands off approach to Reiki healing respects their sentience by offering the choice to participate or not as they see fit. Unlike people, animals can't hide their true feelings so you can usually tell if a connection has been made. This white dove was receptive to Reiki but so was an injured Canada goose who was angrily hissing and squawking at me from glass enclosure around the corner. Both animals were resting calmly and comfortably by the end of the 30 minute session. Some animals respond well to hands-on Reiki or Reiki offered in close proximity. Others will feel threatened by your physical presence and require healing from a safe distance. It's a joy to discover what works best for each animal.
